The Grand prix Afrique, previously called the Grand prix littéraire d'Afrique noire (a major literary prize for Francophone literature in Black Africa), is an award given each year by the ADELF, the Association of French Language Writers. The prize is awarded for a French original text written by someone from Sub-Saharan Africa. It was originally given with a prize of 2,000 French francs.
