The Michael Braude Award for Light Verse is given every two years for light verse written in English, no matter where the author is from. The American Academy of Arts and Letters presents the award, and it includes a $5,000 payment. Mrs. Lillian Braude created the award in 1987 to honor her husband, Michael Braude.
