The Helen and Kurt Wolff Translator's Prize is a yearly award named after German-American publishers Helen and Kurt Wolff. It recognizes a top literary translation from German to English, published in the United States the year before. The translator who completes the winning translation receives $10,000.
The prize was created in 1996 and is supported by the German Federal Office. It was run by the Goethe-Institut in Chicago until 2014. Since 2015, the prize has been managed by the Goethe-Institut in New York.
