The Leipzig Book Fair Prize (Preis der Leipziger Buchmesse) is a literary award given each year during the Leipzig Book Fair to new books that are considered excellent in the categories "Fiction," "Non-fiction," and "Translation." This prize began in 2005 after the Deutscher Bücherpreis award was stopped. It is one of the most significant literary awards in Germany. Each winner in a category receives €20,000.
